1.Multiple Intelligence &Myer's Briggs Personality Test:From my understanding of multiple Intelligence and Myer's Briggs personality test would be helpful too for teachers to use in order to analyze each student's characteristic and it would also give ideas how to grouping students. For example, if one student is good at drawing and another student is good at speaking, the teacher can assign two students in same group; so that they could help out each other. Myer's Briggs personality test is somewhat similar to Multiple Intelligence;however, Briggs personality is more focus on personality.
2.Performance Task: From my point of view, teacher must be aware of performance task because it is required for teachers to use. Teacher's can't measure student's grade only written exam, because some students might be confident when it comes to written exam, on the other hand, some students might not be confident. In order to make fairness, it would be good tool to use performance task. By using performance task, teacher will more get change to know about each student like what strengths and weakness are. This fact is very important for teachers to know.
3.Checklist, Learning Logs, Journals: Each of these 3 are different. Simply, a checklist reflects on the understanding of the lesson. Learning logs and Journal logs sound might the same; basically these 2 logs reflect on student's reflections. Learning logs students write they learn on each subject area. Journal logs is more reflective than learning logs because student might more write how did they feel about lesson; at this point, I can give feedback to students.
4.Matrix & Rubrics: These 2 are definitely important for teachers to know. Rubrics are required based on performance task. Performance task requires rubric in order to assess how student's are doing. If rubric is not provided, teacher wouldn't be able to assess student's performance and also it wouldn't effective as well. Rubrics should include rate of 1-5 (or 1-4) such as 1- needs extra improvement, 2-needs improvement, 3-good, 4-very good, 5-excellent.
5.Graphic Organizer: Needless to say, it is an awesome and wonderful tool to help better understanding of what I'm teaching. It can be used all of subject area!! such as Language arts, mathematics, social studies and science. It totally depends on how teacher create their own graphic organizer! I'm planning to use graphic organizer in my future classroom!
6. Interviews& Conferences: There are usually used when teachers needs to talk one-on-one with each student in order to report a student's progress. Like how a student's is doing and what strengthens or weakness are. From my perspective, interview and conferences usually at different period. Interview could be done at the beginning of the semester in order to know student's more and conference should be performed at the middle of the semester or at the end of the semester.
7. Teacher-made-tests &CNMI standards and benchmark test: This is definitely important for anyone who planning to be a teacher. Tests are the best tool to checking for student's understanding and keep track of a student's progress. Therefore, teachers should be able to know effectively make tests. Teachers usually make tests based on their lesson which are based on the Standards and benchmarks. Therefore, Teacher-made-test and CNMI standards & benchamark can never be seperated. CNMI standards& benchmarks also navigate teachers to create test. Sometimes, it is not easy to create test. I rate these test 5 out of 5 because it navigates me how to come up with test.
